For The 10

For The 10 is a ministry of Mission Church rooted in this core value and simple Biblical commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Since Mission’s inception in October of 2011, it has sought to not just be a church in the neighborhood, but for the neighborhood, and as such, For The 10 was formed as an expression of this commitment to our city.

For The 10 exists to serve the people of The 10 by identifying, funding, and supporting needs in the community in unprecedented ways. Unconditionally. Without strings attached or hidden agenda.

We achieve this vision by funding and organizing, along with our generous sponsors, initiatives that we believe: are meeting tangible needs, are not already being done by others, are scalable, and that can be done exceptionally.

Project Just Start

Project Just Start is based upon this simple principle: We believe that every student, in every school, regardless of economic status, has an opportunity for greatness given a just and equal start.

Every year, with your help, we have the opportunity to provide backpacks full of school supplies to schools in The 10. This year, you have the opportunity to join us on Saturday, April 13th to help us fill thousands of backpacks for these children!

Please choose the 30-minute time slot that you can attend to volunteer. Only one registration per household is necessary. 

Holiday Gift Mart

The Holiday Gift Mart comes alongside families in The 10 and gives them a dignified way to provide gifts for their children this Christmas. This year we are helping over 35 schools in The 10, that’s 1500 families invited to the Holiday Gift Mart!

Parents will be able to come and purchase gifts normally retailed from $15-$35, for only $2 each. These proceeds will then go back into their schools. We have served thousands of families over the last 12 years and we can’t wait to bless more families this year!
